Every Christmas season, it's been a tradition at work to dine out for lunch or dinner with teammates in every department. Like, aside from the company party, we still opted to have our small party. Thus, this year, my fellow Finance department team and I decided to have dinner before the Christmas vacation. We have yet to decide where to eat as nearby restaurants in our place are usually fully booked. It was only easy to walk in for dine-in if one or two, but if above, usually, reservations were needed. Initially, our group head wanted an Ala carte dining rather than eat all you can , but majority won, so we ended up at **Jin Joo Korean Grill at The Podium. Just a few minutes walk away in our office.
It offers grill all you can, grill all you want, with a price of ;
$9.81 for the sets of - Pork + chicken + side dish
$12.49 for the sets of - Pork + beef + Chicken + K-fried Chicken + Tonkatsu +seafood + Side dish
Since it only happened once a year, we opted to choose the latter, more choices of food more fun. Food is life!
We were a wee bit early, so there were only a few customers inside; thus, we didn't fit at one table. We occupied two; the setup was usual in samgyupsal, and the griller/hot pot was placed at the center. Accessible for everyone.
Oh, no! I am at the table with officemates that are also too lazy to cook! Haha, what a lucky day!
The first set of meat was served along with the side dishes ready for the grill. The hot pot was already prepared on the cook, is not, lol. I am already starving as I ate only a little at lunchtime and even skipped a coffee break as I was getting ready for this dinner.
That seemed not a good idea as my tummy kept complaining, yet, I didn't have a choice but to wait until the meat was fully cooked.
And yes, I am grilling!
Good thing there were side dishes, the K-fried Chicken + Tonkatsu, which could be paired with rice. I added some kimchi, too, to have spice!
They also serve this like a scrambled egg (apology, I need to familiarize myself with what it is). Does anyone know? Somehow it tasted bland to me, so I added some cheese, perfect!
We are four at a table, and there were only a few meats per serving, so we ordered more. You must submit this slip to the crew with the request list to be catered.
One of our companions ordered, so I don't know the meat flavors. We just grilled!
I was thankful she ordered some mushrooms! That's one that I like on the menu, yet there were shrimps, so I told them they could have it all. Just leave the mushrooms to me. Hehehe, the problem was they didn't like lettuce!
We were given two servings of it; I ate it all as someone who doesn't like spoiling food!
Put some meat, sauce, and kimchi; wrap it with lettuce, and yum!
The dinner was fun, and my tummy was so full that I needed to drink something that would aid my digestion.
How about you? Did you enjoy dining out with friends, relatives, or officemates?
