Yes, I have do believe in online friends, I met online friends thru
my social media apps & game chatrooms. As long as you don't get hurt by them, I think it is ok. I found it interesting meeting friends in different countries thru digital world. There are advantages and disadvantages. For example I have a friend named Vani, she was an indian girl, I met in chatango.com (korean chatbox). She was nice, accommodating and protective. She shared everything to me. I told her one day if I visit India I will for sure meet her. She was excited. I trusted her. Our secrets are kept.
Advantages: Every individual has trust issues even in our family, relatives and closes friends. I imagined some women out there can't expressed their true feelings or having problems with life because of pressure of people around. Knowing she had a trusted friend online who don't know her personally, able to give her words of advise, chance to save a life.
I found it easy to tell your problems to a online friend than a person you know a real world as long as you don't share you addressed. I received good advises and words of encouragements from friends online.
You learned from their cultures and their countries. This is good for the people are not able to travel. You can know everything by talking to your online friends which country they live in. Take this opportunities to learn.
Disadvantages: you must be attentive and observant about people online. you will know if they are fake or not it will show to their actions. Some friends online they used you for their benefits. For example. I met a friend in clash of kings. Me and my boyfriend helping him to purchased game packs. We trusted him. My boyfriend G-pay was attached to that gmail that friend stole money from him.
Conclusion: Having friends online are not bad but you make sure they are not up to your money or fame. Always take precaution giving your addressed and important information. Instead of judging friends online be advised to read or listened from the past experiences of others. I guaranteed you. You will be find trusted and good friends online.
