Bullying for example is rampant where many a kid can be seen getting bullied not only physically but on online platform and verbally from their peers. The impact of bullying doesn't only leave a child filled with fear and sadness; it also causes them to lose all sense of confidence that they otherwise could find, impacting their growth and future as individuals. A school is expected to tackle and put an end to such activities through strict laws, teaching empathy to students and a thorough support system for students that have been targeted.
Sexual abuse related to the development of our kids is the other and more prominent risk factor parents face as they constantly keep wondering what they can do to safe-guard them.
The reports that we read of our little ones becoming victims of sexual abuse have created and fuelled fear amongst a lot of parents who make the extra effort in setting up safety regulations that would involve regular checks of staff and ensuring that the kid knows how to deal with anything that seems unethical on boundaries they are set upon. It's important that these matters are taken up seriously with regard that these kids are the future! In such case collaboration between schools and parents in monitoring kid's activities becomes imperative, and we need to constantly prompt parents that these schools needs more attention when it comes to dealing with matters related to kid's safety so there might just be a reason for schools as parents take some action on their end and that reason is for kids! While some schools have started actively pursuing anti-bullying campaign, child abuse prevention strategies, therapy programs and child protect, not a single person in this planet can guarantee 100 % security and safety to their kids.
Every family needs to unite with schools, the teachers, school principals, students themselves, and the entire community to work towards making schools safe havens for kids, not places where fear, insecurities and violence rule.
