Monas or National Monument is the icon of Jakarta. Located in the center of Jakarta, an attractive tourist and educational center for the people of Jakarta and its surroundings. Monas was founded in 1959 and inaugurated two years later in 1961. Monas is always packed with tourists to see the beauty of Jakarta from the top of Monas, adding insight into the history of space diorama Indonesia or enjoy a new forest area about 80 hectares in the middle of Jakarta.
