Happy #aliveandthriving Tuesday afternoon /evening to you, and thank you for your visit!
Today I wanted to do some miles on the bike and I took a few photos along the way I would like to share with you!
So first I "finally" got a photo of something that some of you may find interesting! About a block away from the old house is the sign on the main road,
And a close-up so you see what I mean,
This area of the island has many Ducks raising their young - which return annually and the people here feed them as well, especially the lady at the corner!
And they cross the street to get to these,
And a little closer,
These are "Water Hyacinth" they are free floating and also appear here annually. And no I don't believe the Ducks eat these, but I do think they eat the baby fish hiding amongst the roots!
Over at the old house the Shrimp Plant is doing "well" so I took a few photos of it also. This is the whole plant,
And a single flower,
And then I rode home, it was getting warm and together so far I had 7 miles / 11.26 kilometers in.
After awhile I decided to go back out to make it an even 10 miles / 16.09 kilometers for the day. I rode over to the Park and really didn't see anything that caught my attention. As I was leaving I did notice that the "Curlycup Gumweed" was starting to bloom again and I took a few photos.
This is one peaking out,
And this is a single flower that I think came out well, probably the best photo of the day so I did want to share it with you! Definitely #aliveandthriving !
And that was it for today!
I want to thank you again for your visit and I am Wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe Mid-Week!
