As I reside in Australia currently, my mind often wanders back to a place that holds a piece of my heart – Kathmandu, Nepal. My best friend who lives in Nepal recently sent me these pictures of him capturing a moment of happiness on a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley, accompanied by a crisp taste of cold Tuborg beer. He knows that these moments were always our favorites: the view, the beer and the endless friends talks. It is a place where time seems to slow down, and the scenery is a constant reminder of the beauty that surrounds Kathmandu and every sip is a toast to the memories made and those yet to come.
As I look through these photos, the predilection to go back to Kathmandu grows strong and strong. Kathmandu is a place where my heart finds comfort, happiness and my soul feel alive. And hopefully, I get a moment to reunite with my friends, and relive those hilltop moments again.
