With this painting, my technical intent was to explore colour graded images and work a figure not lit with natural daylight, and yet still arrive at something half way realistic. I think I need to continue more examples and practising further with digital colour grading and then rendering that in paint. Ultimately, my aim is skip the digital step and translate an image at will to any colour palette I desire.
