Hello my Dearest Friends,
Maybe you are thinking that the title is misleading, lol. I know I make it sound like this place is full of some colorful birds, but all I have are photos of ducks, gees and seagull. Well, let me explain why I have chose it. because I have a very good reason.
However, before I go any further, I would like to mention that this is my first entry for #featheredfriday initiated by @keithbone and hosted by
@melinda010100 who are my Dear friends and great photographers. If you are not following them yet, please check out their blogs! You will not be disappointed 😉
And now back to our birds! Well, Toronto area in general is a paradise for many birds, but this post is about gees, ducks and seagulls. There is so many of them everywhere you go near water and they are having very happy life. I only wish all animals would live like this.
In addition, half of this park was flooded as you can see in this photo. So imagine that, lol. The bay you saw in the first photo is much higher than normally would be. The trunks of trees that are around the edge are sunk in the water. Unfortunately, it's a mess, but the birds love it and it looks like the numbers of them doubled. By the way, today is pouring rain again!
Stunning view on the way towards the beach.
And this is the name of the park. My younger daughter works near by, so we got together for picnic. Don't worry, there was still enough dry land to sit down, lol.
It is a very lovely place with beach, trees, playground, flowers and this rustic house, so it can be a paradise in it's own right.
As we were admiring the horizon, my daughter spotted flying seagull holding a tiny fish. Although I have a new camera, it is not good enough for this type of shots, but I gave it a shot, lol.
Here he is landing.......did he almost lost the fish???
Oh he still has it! He is taking a sweet time with it. Maybe it's too big for him! Poor little fish :(
To end the beautiful day in the paradise, here is one more shot for you. I actually took few other photos of flowers, but I will share those some other time. Thank you so much for visiting our flooded paradise and have a wonderful Friday
