Two Unexpected Freebies from TikTok Sellers Arrived Today | Feeling Grateful as a Small Affiliate Creator

Today was a pleasant surprise because I received not just one but two parcels from TikTok sellers who generously sent me free product samples for promotion.
As someone who used to be active as a TikTok affiliate, this experience still amazes me. I only have a little over 4,000 followers, which is quite small compared to many content creators on the platform. Because of that, I never expected sellers to reach out and offer free products in exchange for promotional content.
The first parcel contained a plastic bottle of lotion. The second parcel contained four sachets of Safeguard White bath soap. Although these are simple household products, I appreciate them very much because they represent trust from the sellers. They chose to give a small creator like me an opportunity to help promote their products.
A while back, I spent time creating short promotional videos and occasionally doing livestreams as a TikTok affiliate. Like many affiliates, I was hoping to earn a little extra income through commissions whenever someone purchased products through my links.
While I was never a huge creator, I genuinely enjoyed making product-related contents. It helped me learn basic video editing, product presentation, and how to communicate with viewers during live sessions. That experience also opened opportunities that I never expected, including receiving free samples from sellers.
What surprised me most was that these sellers were willing to send free products even though my account has only around 4,000 followers. For larger creators, receiving free products may be common, but for me, it still feels rewarding. It reminds me that follower count isn't everything. I'm truly grateful for their generosity. Of course, receiving free samples comes with responsibility. As part of the collaboration, I need to create videos or feature the products during a livestream within 14 days of receiving them. I think that's a fair arrangement, and it's something I can definitely do. In fact, I'm already thinking about how I can showcase these products in a simple and honest way.
After all, when someone trusts you with their products, it's important to deliver your side of the agreement professionally. Sometimes, small opportunities can brighten an ordinary day. These two parcels may not be expensive, but they reminded me that every creator starts somewhere. Whether you have a few hundred followers, a few thousand, or much more, opportunities can still come your way if you stay active and keep creating content. Today's deliveries were a small blessing, and I'm thankful for them.
