It was my last weekend in South Africa and Eden, Tam, Kiara and I decided to go to a music festival which seemed like a good idea at the time, as Covid has kept everyone indoors for such a long time.

Initially, I thought we were going to a restaurant called Casa Linga to have lunch and watch some live music at the restaurant, however to my surprise it turns out it was actually a music festival in the woods on the grounds of the restaurant.

We arrived at the festival and Eden and Tam initially wanted to buy a pizza at one of the food stands and we were told we had to pre-load money onto the festival cards which we could buy at another stand.
So after loading a whole bunch of money into the festival cards we now proceeded to go order a pizza, but as we tried to place our order the pizza guys said that they had run out of food!
So seeing as there were no more pizzas we moved over to the next food stand which was selling prego rolls and placed our order, only to find that they only accepted cash and not the festival cards!
So we placed our order and stood on the sidelines only for it to suddenly start raining which also temporarily stopped the artist on the stage from performing as all the music equipment and speakers were getting wet.
After the rain calmed down we checked back on our prego rolls only to find that there was a massive queue of people waiting to be served their prego rolls and they had only just put the meat on the barbecue grill so there was no way our food would be ready anytime soon and that鈥檚 if we were even going to get any with the huge queue of people waiting to get one too.
As we became frustrated we asked the prego roll stand for our money back which we received and then headed to the festival card stand to try get our money back. We managed to get our money back for the festival cards too after having to speak to the festival manager, however we weren鈥檛 able to get our money back for the tickets for the festival.
We left the festival and then went to Monte Casino and went to a restaurant Kiara and I have been to before.

Tam and Eden shared the pizza.
Kiara and I ordered the same meal which was BBQ chicken skewers on focaccia bread with a side salad with avocado. We also ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes for our food to arrive but at least we eventually got it and we polished it off extremely quickly.

It wasn鈥檛 exactly the way I planned to spend my last weekend in South Africa but the next 2 days before I left were great and a nice ending to my long stay in South Africa
