River nymphs are very shy, but they have an enormous respect for life. They live under the surface of the water in splinterlands. They protect their homes and are always ready to help those in need.

Las ninfas de río son muy tímidas, pero sienten un enorme respeto por la vida. Viven bajo la superficie del agua, en astillas. Protegen sus hogares y siempre están dispuestas a ayudar a los necesitados.

For this week I chose to recreate a rare card in the water unit. I chose this card because I love her outfit, I wanted to work with blue tones and also in the mood to paint the water. This one was really tricky because of the many elements I wanted to include, watersplash, butterflies, fish, flowers, wings and a waterfall behind her. I started with a small sketch and placing all the elements where I wanted them before painting the base colours of the skin, hair, outfit and wings. I then painted her facial features, also added lighter and darker highlights to her skin.

Para esta semana he elegido para recrear una tarjeta rara en la unidad de agua. Elegí esta tarjeta porque me encanta su atuendo, quería trabajar con tonos azules y también en el estado de ánimo para pintar el agua. Este fue realmente difícil debido a los muchos elementos que quería incluir, watersplash, mariposas, peces, flores, alas y una cascada detrás de ella. Empecé con un pequeño boceto y colocando todos los elementos donde quería antes de pintar los colores base de la piel, el pelo, el traje y las alas. Después pinté sus rasgos faciales y añadí reflejos más claros y más oscuros a su piel.

I really enjoyed working on her outfit and painting the water, which also took a lot of time. I wanted her clothes to look like fish scales, so I had to layer different shades of blue with different blending modes until I was satisfied. I did the same with the water, although I had a hard time getting the splashes and the waterfall to look right. I painted the fish, butterflies, added bubbles and some flowers. I added more detail to her hair but it didn't look right so I decided to add some bright blue highlights because the original character has blue hair and I like it a lot. Then I added some blue to part of her face, neck and hands, I also painted her golden hair ornament and some scale-like things around her hands and thighs.

Disfruté mucho trabajando en su atuendo y pintando el agua, que también me llevaron mucho tiempo. Quería que su ropa pareciese escamas de pescado, así que tuve que aplicar capas de diferentes tonos de azul con distintos modos de fusión hasta que quedé satisfecho. Hice lo mismo con el agua, aunque me costó mucho conseguir que las salpicaduras y la cascada quedaran bien. Pinté los peces, las mariposas, añadí burbujas y algunas flores. Añadí más detalles a su pelo pero no me parecía bien así que decidí añadir algunos mechones azules brillantes porque el personaje original tiene el pelo azul y me gusta mucho. Luego añadí algo de azul a una parte de su cara, cuello y manos, también pinté su adorno de pelo dorado y algunas cosas parecidas a escamas alrededor de sus manos y muslos.
