Hey guys, check out our earlier posts when you get a chance!
For this update, we wanted to talk about:
For the past week (seems like forever), we have been working on our logo, temporary website, and roadmap.
First, we finally have our prototype logo. We will be using our prototype as a placeholder until our final logo is done.
Check it out here.
Second, our temporary website is complete and will be made publicly available at our private domain very soon.
Third, we are making headway on our September Roadmap goals and it is looking likely we will achieve them before the end of the month.
Created a draft issue for a comprehensive tutorial on blockchain and cryptocurrency
Created prototype market trackers
Designed a format for the Newsletter
Create a sufficient number of committees that span a wide breadth of topics so that new members will have assignments and tasks they can complete upon provisional entry
Created sample podcast formats including topics and recordings for the Newsletter
Created prototype logo for external & internal use
Uploaded first introductory post about the Network to social media channels
Created official membership certificates
Completed necessary administrative duties to remain in operation
Create an internal, decentralized architecture in furtherance of cooperative and distribtued ledger project principles while allowing for grwoth into the next-level of decentralized entities
One of the issues we have been running into is one I think plagues all startups and groups in general … getting team members together and making sure we have defined goals and tasks.
We have a collective vision of what we believe the Network can become, and the overarching goals we want to accomplish. However, figuring out how to achieve our vision will be the biggest hurdle for us as we continue to grow.
Currently, we are facing this issue as we try to:
First, as we try to expand our activities, we must deal with trying to ensure we are still working as a team, instead of losing our cohesion and one member being overloaded with tasks.
Second, as we try to grow our membership, we also need to ensure we are keeping our existing cohesion and trust, while allowing new members to join and express their own views, vision, and goals for the Network.
Third, as we try to complete our daily tasks and achieve our predefined goals (e.g., our September 2018 Roadmap goals), we need to ensure that, we, as members of a decentralized network, are all having equal input in how these tasks are being accomplished.
However, we have a very strong team cohesion thanks to our shared vision, and the willingness to shoulder the burden for each other in regards to our duties and even in our own personal lives.
With this in mind, we believe we can not only achieve our vision and goals, but that we can even go beyond them through constant interaction while adapting and absorbing new member's visions and goals.
Once again, letting you know, we have stacks on stacks of vacancies for Committee Head positions.
Check out the vacancy list and our previous posts to find Committee information and for applying to a Committee Head position.
We issued our first set of weekly updates on SoundCloud. Let us know what you think!
What do you think is the potential for blockchain and 3D printing?
What do you believe are the values of a distributed ledger community?
Thank you for reading our tenth weekly update. Stay tuned for much more!
