"But we need the knife as a weapon and a tool. How can we untie ourselves if we don't use it to cut the rope?" Ashley asked, but Jose insisted that they not touch anything.
While Jose was loking for an escape route, Ashley picked up the knife and untied herself. Then the lights went off. They heard police sirens, and an officer walked in and picked up the knife as evidence. A man was lying lifeless in the yard with them.
Ashley and Jose held their breath, wondering whether they would be treated as witnesses or suspects.
