Hello, how are you? So whenever the fiesta starts here, the one thing I am so excited about is Food Bazaar, especially sweet corn, yeah, sweet corn coated with margarine and salt, which I love to eat while walking home. Some people like the one on a cup with cheese powder, but nothing beats the one on a BBQ stick.
So yeah, I am going to challenge myself on my clay skills, so I am going to try to make sweet corn with margarine and salt on a BBQ stick keychain.
First, I condition the clay I am going to use by kneading it by hand, and then I use this transparent clay and roll it into this size.
I realize the clay is too long, so I cut it using x acto knife and set it aside for later use.
And then I grab yellow clay and roll it into a thin sheet using the clay tool.
I cut it clean into a rectangle, and then I cut, but did not completely cut, just enough to creat cut. And then cut it into 6 pieces just like in the photo.
And then grab one of the 6 pieces I cut earlier, and then cut it again into thin pieces enough to make a corn kernel, and then to make it into a kernel, I flatten it using both clay cutters.
This is what it looks like, and then I grab the translucent I made earlier, and then I added those corn kernels I made into the translucent clay.
Wrap everything around it, and this is what it looks like.
And then I poke the toothpick into the clay.
Then I added shade to the clay using soft pastels and a brush.
And then I added eyepin. After that, I bake the clay in a preheated oven and set the temperature and time according to what the packaging instructed.
And then I sprinkled sand onto the clay.
And then cure it under the UV Lamp for a few minutes.
To add the keychain, I put the jump ring with the keychain into the eyepin.
And then I lock it using the two pliers.
Do you like sweet corn?
