Hello, how are you? Have you eaten figs? I have been so curious about it lately; it always appears on my Pinterest home feed, and it looks like it tastes good, too. And I saw a lot of people draw one, so I decided that I was confident enough to draw it, so I did.
Set everything on my desk before I start. I am going to use this blue oil pastel to draw the line art of the figs.
And then I layer that line art with their respective colors, just lightly drawing it so it is easy to layer.
In this part, I added more contrast and saturation to the drawing. And then just basically added shadows and highlights at the same time, it looks flat this time, but I will fix it later as the process goes on.
Then I decided to use dark gray as the background, but as I layer it, why not add a reflection of color to it, so I did add yellow.
I added more details to the Figs to make it more dimensional. I added darker shades of color and lighter ones so that I can balance what I draw.
I added a little bit of pinkish shade to the background color just to make it not look flat.
Using these clay tools, I am going to add texture and highlight simultaneously.
Close up look at the texture. I didn't add much to it, but it is still noticeable, and I like it.
I hope you like it :D
