Yesterday I was busy with my thoughts and I decided to draw again because I'm obsessed with the art style I made. I was thinking I should draw the same style but a different face.

I hurriedly run to my desk a draw like a maniac. I told myself "this is a good sign to do it" so I did it took me a whole day to draw. I'm surprisingly fast~ sometimes it takes me forever to draw. Before, I have like three mental breakdowns before I finish my work.

I was thinking I should do a collection with this kind of art style. For future reference. LOL. Hoping no mood swings and mental breakdowns will happen in the process.

I named her Blue, I literally just name her while I'm writing this blog it suits her, you know the feeling that it just pops out of your mind. That's how is it. It's like naming your pet it just pops out of your mouth.

Process

1. Sketch
I started with a sketch that was a disaster. For the line work this time, I only needed one layer. I'm trying not to rely on the line art as much as possible.

2.Shade, Tone
I added just light shadow and shade for now.

3. Eyes, Nose, Lips
I chose aqua blue for her eyes and coral orange for her lips to make her look more natural..

4.Hair
Her hair looks horrendous right now, especially her bangs. I'm going to fix her later.

5. Body and Background
Sunflowers and bone bodies are my new interest, and I drew a heart in the middle to give it a little more of a twist. As far as I can tell, the heart isn't technically in the centre. Hihihi

6. More shading and Blending
I used warm color to emphazine the contour on her eyes, nose, lips and added shade and shadow to it.

7. Details
I added detail to her hair so it will look more flowy and to the sunflower i added shade and shadow.

8.Hightlights and more
I tone down the canvas a little bit so the highlight will be pops out more. This is my favorite part.

I highlighted the parts I missed and darkened the parts that needed to be darkened for the final touch. After that, blend them together to make the shadows and highlights less intense.
