I haven't done any artwork or drawing in a long time but a few days ago I was bored so I pulled out some paper, a pencil and a pen and went outside to draw a tree that I've been eyeballing for some time now that I find interesting.
The dimensions of the trunk are a little off and I'm terrible at shading and portraying realistic lighting, but all in all I'm happy with how it turned out.
Below is a photo of the tree that inspired the sketch. I really like the fact that the top of the tree is dying. I think it gives it a lot of character and makes it interesting to look at.
