Now I am doing a research on the issues, challenges or problems that recruiters encountered during the recruitment process and I have read hundreds of articles and blogs of different recruiters and hiring managers to accomplish my work.
Here are tips to make things easier during the interview process:
First impression last! - Make a great first impression with the interviewer by giving a perfect introduction. Give your best in the first 30 seconds and start a meaningful conversation. Don't waste your interviewer's time by talking nonsense.

Do your homework! - Be ready! Do a research on the company and the position that you are applying to. It is better to know a few details about the company and it will be a good starting point if you know the company's culture if you get hired. It is also best to know the details of the job description to be ready to the role that you are applying and how you will position yourself to be the best candidate.
Sell yourself! - When there is a pool of candidates, of course, it is always a MUST to choose the best offer that is available. You should satisfactorily sell yourself, better than others, make sure to share with the interviewer your edge compared with other candidates, your work experience, training attended, certifications, you should also highlight your strengths and capabilities. Make sure to impress your interviewer, and do not make lies.
Dress for success! - We have what we call impression management and this has become part of the mainstream psychology. We should follow a certain dress code especially when we are going to an interview, we should also make sure that we are wearing comfortable clothes. Do not wear too many accessories cause this might distract your interviewer. For the ladies make sure to wear decent clothes, no plunging neckline, and mini skirts, please. Wear professional attire!

Be on time! - Whether it's a phone or face-to-face interview make sure to be ready 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled interview. You can relax and freshen up before the scheduled time and you will not look stressed if ever you come in late. This will also give a good impression to your interviewer.
Be honest! - I know you want to get that job because you need money to pay your bills or maybe this is your dream job but make sure to provide accurate and honest information to your interviewer. Make sure that what you have written on your resume are true. You don't want to get hired because you've told your interviewer that you are an expert on a certain field and had training and all but the truth is you're really not. This will destroy your integrity because your interviewer might find out the truth and this closes doors for opportunity.
Body language! - Be mindful of your body language and reactions because this describes your personality. It is best to maintain eye contact with your interviewer at all times. Exude confidence during your interview.
