Savings is very important for everybody to have. Without savings, you have nothing to rely upon you have no foundation for you to grow.

The first form of savings.

Our ancient ancestors be used to be hunters and gatherers and never particularly had a place to lay their head as they were always hunting for their next meal. This made it very hard for progress to be achieved in other areas. IE: technology such as uber, political theories such as the Social Contract, economic theory such as free markets and society as a whole being developed. However, by 10,000bc the first agricultural revolution took place and and people didn't from hunters and gatherers into farmers.

This was revolutionary because it allowed for the now class of farmers to build surpluses of food. This food surplus is very important  because  it allowed for the first form of saving  so called  "grain savings".

Due to these grain savings.  It laid the foundation for the technological  advancements, towns and population growth as you can see from this visualisation. What these savings helped to achive was diverting time from hunting and gathering to other areas of work. (Science etc)

Debt

Debt is as old as empire building itself. Many once great nations themselves have perished to having excessive  amount of bad debt. They all borrowed  to much  going back to the Ancient Summarians, it isn't something  that is new and people should  use debt wisely debt, if you choose to if at all.

Excessive debt can make life very unbearable and can cause terrible stress related diseases. Please don't do this!!

Good debt

Good debt is essentially investing in things that generate a higher rate of return your  borrowing  for. This is my book would be considered a good investment. University I would not consider a good investment  unfortunately, Which is why i chose a different path. In my country  the  current interest rate for pay back is 5.8% or 3% + RPI (retail price inflation) set  yearly  and rising (now at 3.8%). You tell me that's  a good investment.

Gold backed Currency

There's a very very long history of  gd backed currencies dating back thousands of years. You can look at the Byzantine empire, France, Florence, Rome, British pound (longest running  currency)  with their GOLDMONEY.  The idea behind it was to be a store of value and means of exchange as overtime and everyone  would  need one mode  well recognised and respected which were gold and silver but not  so much today.

Your wealth needs to held within this asset and it has thousands of years of utility and is well recognised, rich or poor, black or white and  yellow  or silver. (hehe)

To ensure you have the financial freedom to enjoy  your saving  in the long run at a rate that keeps up with inflation then....

Consider moving a portion  of your assets into gold and silver.
