When it comes to cryptocurrency, looking back on 2022 leaves just one thought:
Well that sucked
There is no way to sugarcoat things. It was a bad one. The bear market took the industry and turned it on its ear.
In typical fashion, it exposed all the bullshit that was taking place. UST. Celsius. FTX. All torched and rightfully so.
Now we are left to deal with the carnage.
Or are we? Perhaps there is another angle to this.
Leofinance Turning A Corner?
Nobody is going to deny that LBI is dependent upon Leofinance. This is where we hitched our wagon and, quite frankly, we are stuck with it. That is not a problem since there is every reason to be optimistic about the long-term prospect of this project.
Earlier today, the Leofinance account put out a post detailing how they are looking things going forward. Could they be near a turning point?
It is no secret that the new focus is upon LeoThreads. This is something that is going to enhance the entire ecosystem of Hive. We cannot deny the appeal of microblogging to the Internet community. For this reason, bringing something to market which allows tens of thousands of people to utilize it is a very good thing.
Does this mean that the LEO token will turn around? Of course not. However, if the team can achieve its goal of 5,000 daily users by the end of the year, that is a 10x over the present level.
This does have a resounding impact throughout the entire user base.
Here is what they posted:
Tied to this is an easier onboarding process. Evidently they figured out a way to simplify it.
We all look forward to the new UI being introduced.
Money Money Money
It all comes down to money.
No I am not referring to token price or the markets. Instead, this is business focused. Companies have to generate revenues if they hope to stay in business.
Let me ask this question:
How often have you heard about a project in cryptocurrency talk about grow and the targeted growth rate?
Off the top of my head, I can't think of an instance. Yet we hear a lot about price, market cap, and the bulls versus bears.
All of this has a strategic purpose with Leofinance: ad revenue.
This is something that was discussed early last year and yet has to emerge. Nevertheless, it was mentioned again. There is a major difference now compared to what things were like a year ago: no microblogging.
Consider the ads that appear on Twitter. What do they look like? Tweets. Now consider the ads on Leofinance. What do they look like? Crap.
Increasing the number of users will send the ad revenue skyrocketing. However, there is another aspect to this. By embedding the ads in LeoThreads, we could see the response rate also increase. That will compound the results.
It is evident from Cubfinance the team is set on a model which generates revenue, buys the token on the open market, and then does something with it. For CUB, that is a burn. With LEO, that is going to be passed onto LP holders; think of it akin to a dividend.
The point of all this is that it is exceptional for LBI. This could be the year LBI explodes. We hitched our wagon to Leofinance and we might be well rewarded for it.
This is going to be fun.
