After the protocol effectively declared bankruptcy and froze LP and Saver funds, the team is now working on making tradeable debt available for affected users. While this crisis unfolds, Thorchain has still been handling massive trading volumes, including transactions linked to the Bybit ETH hack.
This has sparked heated debate. Some voices pushed for censoring the movement of these stolen funds, but the majority of nodes voted to uphold the chain’s decentralized principles. As a result, several nodes unhappy with this decision have churned out, adding even more instability to the network.
