Entró por la puerta de la casa en su baile de sube y baja. Mi gato activó su sentido de la caza pero la altura de su vuelo le hizo rendirse rápido. Yo atento para no dejarlo proseguir en su juego. Olvidé su presencia pues cambié de actividad y me distraje. Hoy encontré su superficie de agarre, una pared en la sala. Tal parece un cuadro más colgado en la pared. Me dije, la tengo que fotografiar, me subí a una silla y me acerque lo mas que pude para obtener la mejor toma. Hubo un momento que, se sintió amenazada, y abrió sus alas para despegar, pero retrocedí y abortó su vuelo. Algunos acá creen que traen mala suerte, otros lo contrario. Yo las he visto desde niño y se que nada es mas cierto que su presencia para embellecer el lugar. Gracias Mariposa por su estancia en mi sala.

It came through the front door in its up-and-down dance. My cat's hunting instinct kicked in, but the height of its flight made him give up quickly. I stayed alert so as not to let him carry on with his game. I forgot about its presence since I switched activities and got distracted. Today I found its resting spot, a wall in the living room. It looked just like another picture hanging on the wall. I told myself, I have to photograph this — I climbed onto a chair and got as close as I could to get the best shot. There was a moment when it felt threatened and opened its wings to take off, but I backed away and it aborted its flight. Some people here believe they bring bad luck, others believe the opposite. I've seen them since I was a child, and I know nothing is truer than their presence bringing beauty to a place. Thank you, Butterfly, for your stay in my living room.
