Last year I had some changes in my life… I had my first tattoo done (which is not the one I’m posting here) but since I started I wanted more and more, now I’ve got four, enough for the moment. Each one has a deep meaning but specially this one is the most inspirational one that I got when I had a few months of changes in my mind and in my attitude.
Most of the people ask me if its the engagement symbol… Well, it could be, but no! When I decided to do this tattoo I was going through a hard moment in my life: end of a relation, I didn’t wanna live anymore in Spain cause I had (and still have) the desire of living in Australia and i felt like a lot of things were falling apart. Karma means something that you achieve for your actions, it can be good or bad, depends on you. Things might not work out as you expected sometimes, that’s life. But what is clear is that if you do good things and work hard on it, you’ll have your reward. So that’s what I’ve been doing lately. I know I can’t go to Australia until I finish my studies but at least I’m doing my best this year and hoping that the next one is even better.
Every time I have a look to this tattoo It makes me think that if one day things are not going as I’d like to, maybe they will the next day. It’s a matter of patience and be aware of good things in life come, maybe late, but they come. So it gives me kind of a good energy to stay connected and happy with everything that surrounds me.
There are many symbols to represent Karma, but I chose this one because of the circles of life, everything comes back and life is based in up & downs. At first I wanted just one big ring to tattoo myself, but the union between both represent my union with all the good people that gives me good vibrations and feelings.
Karma is not “good” or “bad” it’s just about our acts and consequences. Cause and effect.
So... What do you think about Karma? Do you think all tattoos should have a deep meaning?
