Decorating jeans for a special day ( ENG/ESP)

Hello, dear community of artisans, a happy and blessed evening to everyone. I hope you've started the week on the right foot and have many good ideas.

For my part, today was an entrepreneurial day, full of creative ideas like the one I'm sharing with you. It involved decorating a pair of jeans as a gift for my friend's daughter. She was invited to an end-of-year get-together. She wanted to be different, but with the expense of the promotion, there was no way to buy something nice. She wanted something striking and eye-catching. So we looked for ideas to decorate jeans, something different, something out of the ordinary. We looked at several decorations to make her look different and decided to look for some fabrics. Among them, we chose a white synthetic fabric with a rose pattern, which matched perfectly with the blue of the jeans I gave her. So, we decided to make a pretty decoration with this white, sheer woven fabric, without revealing any skin. We would just layer fabric over fabric, and that's how I began to transform these simple jeans into more elegant jeans decorated for this special day.

Hola querida comunidad de artesanos, feliz y bendecida noche para todos, espero que hayan comenzado una semana con buen pie y muchas buenas ideas.

Por mi parte hoy fue día emprendedor, lleno de creativas ideas como la que les vengo a compartir, se trata de la decoración de un jeans como regalo a la hija de mi amiga, quien fue invitada para un compartir de fin de año escolar, ella quería ir diferente, pero con los gastos de la promoción, no tenían como compararse algo lindo, ella quería ir con algo impactante y llamativo, así que buscamos ideas, para decorar jeans, algo diferente, algo fuera de lo común, vimos varias decoraciones para lucir diferente y decidimos buscar algunas telas entre ellas elegimos una tela blanca sintética con tejido de rosas, que combinaba perfecto con el azul del jeans que le regale, así que decidimos hacer una bonita decoración con esta tela blanca tejida con transparencias, sin dejar notar nada de piel, solo colocaríamos tela, sobre tela, y así fue como comencé a transformar, este jeans sencillo en un jeans más elegante decorado para este día tan especial.

I started by unstitching the sides and crotch of the jeans, using a razor blade which is faster.

Comencé descosiendo laterales y entrepiernas del jeans, con el uso de una hoja de hojilla que es más rápido.

The next step was to think and imagine how I was going to position the fabric to cut it, and make sure everything matched. So, first I cut diagonally, taking the curves of the legs into account and leaving a few extra centimeters for sewing to prevent the fabric from tearing under the pressure of the legs when the girl was going to use it. Especially since she dances a lot, I had to be very careful with every detail of the sewing and flexibility.

Lo siguiente fue pensar e imaginarme como iba a posicionar la tela para cortar, y que todo coincidiera, así que primero corte en diagonal llevando las curvaturas de las piernas y dejando unos centímetros de más para coser y evitar que la tela se fuera a romper, con la presión de las piernas, cuando la chica lo fuera a usar, más como ella baila mucho, tenía que ser muy cuidadosa con cada detalle en la costura y flexibilidad.

The next step was to secure the cuts of white sheer rose fabric with pins so they wouldn't move when sewing.

I pinned the fabric horizontally on the wrong side of the top of the pant leg, for each side, with the white fabric facing the right side of the jeans. After sewing, I folded it to the front and left it right side out. Then, I sewed the sides together before closing the seam.

I then joined the sides and inseams together and then sewed them closed on the wrong side of the pants.

I cut 8 cm off the hem on the front side to leave a sheer area.

Lo próximo fue asegurar los cortes de tela blanca de tejido de rosas con transparencias, con alfileres para que al momento de coser no se fuera a mover.

Fije los alfileres por el lado del revés en horizontal, del lado superior de la pierna del pantalón, para cada uno de los lados, de la tela blanca con el derecho del jeans, después que cosí, doble al frente y quedo del lado derecho para luego coser los laterales al derecho antes de cerrar la costura.

Después uní los laterales y entrepiernas para luego cerrar con costura por el revés del pantalón.

En la parte del ruedo del lado frontal corté 8 cm para dejar una transparencia libre.

With the remaining piece of decorative fabric, I decorated the top of the pants, making wavy cuts to give it a design and style.

I pinned the pieces together, then sewed them all the way around the hem following the shape. Finally, I sewed white pearls on the front sides of the hips, adding a subtle, aesthetic detail.

Con la otra parte restante de la tela decorativa, decore la parte superior del pantalón, hice cortes con ondas para darle diseño y estilo.

Fije las piezas con alfileres, para luego pasar costura por todo el borde siguiendo la forma, por último como adicional le cosí unas perlas blancas en los lados frontales de las caderas, lo que le aporta un detalle sutil y estético.
