Welcome to my Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Hi, I'm Lagnarok, Today, I will share another epic battle with low mana caps with limited choice Splinters.
Scavo Hireling Synopsis
Scavo Hirelings are good at just about everything. Not excellent, not poor, just good. They enjoy doing menial tasks that don't require much thought or effort. Whether digging ditches, bandaging wounds, or cooking a meal, they can do it in no time. They accept coins as payment but don't need them. They'd instead be paid for information, stories, and baubles as they love learning new things. Taking a Hit Sometimes is The Best Way
This time the battle happened in Silver League Modern Format in a Ranked match. The battle detail is Armored Up and Broken Arrow ruleset with 13 mana caps. With this battle detail, I only have to worry enemy will use Magic or Melee since Broken Arrow Ruleset means you cannot use any monsters with ranged-type attacks. With Only Fire, Water, and Death Splinters available as options, I decided to use Water Splinter and choose Kelya Frendul as my Summoner.
Kelya Frendul is a Rare Water Summoner from the Chaos Legion Expansion pack that buffs your monsters with additional +1 Armor and +1 Speed.
Weekly Battle Challenge Preparation
I have anticipated my enemy will use a combination of melee and magic-type monsters, but I'm not sure which Splinter he will use. Just in case, I use Keyla Frendul for its +1 speed and +1 armor to make another protection and hope for the first turn.

| Fifth | Dodge | The purpose I place this monster on behind to distract enemy's monster with Sneak Ability, with 4 Speed (after buffed by Kelya), and dodge ability, enemy's monster with Sneak ability will have some trouble to kill this cannon fodder. With this my Pelacor Bandit will have more time to attack Enemy flank. |
Round 1: The Battle Start
- After a series of buffs and unbuff from both summoners, the battle open with Pelacor Bandit attacking enemy Life Sapper, the Frost Lion attacked Cursed Windeku but it cost me 2 armor damage with thorns.
- Life Sapper and Cursed Windeku both attacked Frost Lion in succession and tear down my Frost Lion's armor.
Round 2
- Round 2, started by Pelacor Bandit, killed the enemy's Life Sapper, and Frost Lion attacked Cursed Windeku but died after Thorns' ability activated.
- After Frost Lion died, Torrent Fiend became a tank and dealt 1 damage to Cursed Windeku, and Windeku hit destroyed Soul Fiend's Armor.
Round 3 - 4
- Round 3: Pelacor Bandit tried to kill Corse Fiend but failed since armor protected him. Scavo Hireling repaired Torrent Fiend's Armor but was killed by Cursed Windeku soon after that, and Scavo Hireling replaced Torrent Fiend as a Tank.
- Round 4: Pelacor Bandit successfully killed Corpse Fiend and left Cursed Windeku on the battlefield.
Round 5 - 8
- From Round 5 to Round 8, Pelacor Bandit tried to kill Cursed Windeku while Pelacor Bandit died by Cursed Windeku Thorns and left it with 1HP left. While Cursed Windeku tried to kill Scavo Hireling, Scavo kept repairing the armor without doing anything.
Round 9 - End
Cursed Windeku kept attacking Scavo Hireling, while Scavo kept holding on and repairing its armor till Round 20s, Cursed Windeku died exhausted.
Did My Strategy Work?
I did win the battle, but unfortunately, My strategy didn't work as I expected. At first, I expect Frost Lion to be able to hold the enemy's attack. Still, Cursed Windeku is fiercer than I expected, and this even worsens after Cursed Windeku Thorns Ability chipping out my Frost Lion.
