Today, I am joining in with a beer that reminds me of my grandmother, who was born six years before "Pilsen" beer, which became part of her daily ritual throughout her life.
My childhood memories of my grandmother are somewhat scattered, possibly because my brain seems to function like a RAM memory. However, what I remember very clearly is that she religiously went every day to the neighborhood store with her 1-liter bottle of Pilsen to purchase her daily supply.
She was always a healthy and independent woman, right up until her last day. I believe that, in part, it was thanks to her habit of accompanying her lunch with half of her 1-liter Pilsen and her dinner with the other half.
Thus, Pilsen beer, produced in Paraguay, has been a part of my family's life for as long as I can remember鈥攋ust as it has been for many other families.
That's why, during my last trip to Asunci贸n, I didn鈥檛 hesitate to choose a Pilsen to accompany my dinner on the second night of my stay, even though I had a work meeting the next morning.
Of course, I didn鈥檛 choose my grandmother鈥檚 favorite presentation but rather just a 355ml can鈥攖he perfect amount to savor and enjoy a relaxed and restful sleep.
As you might infer from its name, it is a lager-style pilsener beer, amber in color with a white, persistent foam. It is light, refreshing, and mildly bitter鈥攋ust the right balance for my taste in this beer style.

En el d铆a de hoy me sumo con una cerveza que me hace recordar a mi abuela, que naci贸 6 a帽os antes que la cerveza "Pilsen" la cual fue parte de uno de sus rituales diarios mientras vivi贸.
Mis recuerdos de ni帽a sobre mi abuela son dispersos, posiblemente debido a que mi cerebro al parecer funciona con una memoria RAM, pero lo que recuerdo muy bien era que ella religiosamente iba cada d铆a a la despensa del barrio con su botella de Pilsen de 1 litro, para comprar la dotaci贸n diaria.
Siempre fue una mujer sana e independiente, hasta el 煤ltimo d铆a, y yo creo que en parte era gracias a su h谩bito de acompa帽ar su almuerzo con la mitad de la Pilsen de litro, y la cena con la otra mitad.
Es as铆, que la cerveza Pilsen, de producci贸n paraguaya, form贸 parte de la vida de mi familia desde que tengo uso de raz贸n, as铆 como la de muchas otras familias.
Por eso, en mi 煤ltimo viaje a Asunci贸n, no dud茅 en elegir una Pilsen para acompa帽ar la cena del segundo d铆a de estancia, aunque a la ma帽ana siguiente ten铆a una reuni贸n de trabajo.
Por supuesto no eleg铆 la presentaci贸n favorita de mi abuela, si no s贸lo una lata de 355ml. Cantidad suficiente para saborear y disfrutar de un sue帽o relajado y reparador.
Como podr谩n deducir de su nombre, es una cerveza Lager estilo pilsener, de color 谩mbar con espuma blanca y persistente, ligera, refrescante, y levemente amarga, para mi gusto en la proporci贸n ideal para una cerveza de este estilo.
