This past Tuesday myself and several others held a protest outside Kingsport City Hall in support of Hunger First. Hunger First is a nonprofit that helps the homeless in Kingsport Tennessee. It was started in 1996 and has been a force that Kingsport would like to shut down. Kingsport Tennessee would rather ignore the homeless population then build an inclusive shelter. Kingsport would much rather make it a crime to be homeless. They seem to forget that they are one financial disaster from homelessness. I am planning on doing more protest and bringing light to the homeless problem in Kingsport.
