God built into every human being a hunger for His presence.
No matter what people hide behind money, influence, pleasure, drugs, or addictions, deep down, they know something is missing.
There's a vacuum in the soul that nothing else can fill.
They may deny it with their mouths, but their hearts know the truth that they need God.
The heart is searching for Him, even when they refuse to admit it.
That’s why many people ran far into the world and still ended up back with God.
They tried everything. They went as far as they could go. They did things you can’t even imagine; thinking distance, sin, and noise would silence that hunger.
But it didn’t. It only made the longing louder.
And when they finally returned to God’s presence, they realized something humbling: that this is what they had been looking for all along.
That’s also why many of them are bold about Jesus once they find Him; they’re not preaching theory, and they’re not sharing religion.
They’re testifying from experience.
When they have tasted the emptiness of the world and then found fullness in God, they are no longer ashamed to talk about Him. They speak with conviction because they know where they had been before they met Him, and they know what saved them.
The hunger for God never leaves; it only waits to be acknowledged.
The search to fill the empty vacuum is the reason many people are running around.
They looked for noise to fill it, but when the noise stops, the emptiness is still there.
They searched for pleasure and still met emptiness.
They chased freedom from the emptiness and ended up in bondage.
No achievement can fill that vacuum.
Until the day you yield to the quiet whisper of His presence and return to God, that emptiness will remain because there is no substitute for His presence.
