The clock struck at 5:00 PM. The bell rang. And then after an exhausting 8-hour long boring routine in the office, I found myself stuck in traffic for 3 hours already. The vehicles around me have been blaring rowdy horns and it has been driving me nuts wishing I could escape the chaotic city life.
I closed my eyes...
And then my eyes were peeled. I found my feet stepping into this whimsical threshold to where I could go to a place where the worries and long queues of troublesome defeats of life have never found even the tiniest space to be entertained. And a few minutes from now, I will fasten my set belt as the plane will soon take off up to where the joyful clouds are partying around giving me bits of cheerful glances as I peep into the window seat happily telling me that I am homeward-bound.
And wait! Did I just hear the pilot speaks that we are already landing on the place I have been longing to set foot in? And in no time, I hear myself utter the words my heart has been meaning to finally say - I am home. 💙
My heart is jumping with excitement and unexplainable happiness as I have finally felt the pebble sand underneath my feet. Yeah, these sands were where I used to run around with friends back in my childhood days. It's where I stumbled and fell and got my knees badly bruised, but it's where I also gathered the strength to stand up again and continued running.
How it feels good to sit back and relax and look up into the clear blue sky and see the palm leaves waiving at me as and hear them loudly murmur warmly welcoming me back home.
The sublime scene of this paradise has me leaving back in awe. When this was put on God's magical easel, He must have spent more time mixing all the perfect colors and carefully stoked His paintbrush onto each image for it to look this stunningly beautiful.
Its astonishing view has undeniably taken a huge chunk of space in my heart. And of course, its loving bosom that always hugs me a warm welcome whenever I leave for a while and wander somewhere far is what makes my heart forever grateful.
This is my haven.
It is where I could freely move my long fishy tails and explore the breathtaking (well, literally and figuratively) paradise below and wander endlessly its mesmerizing beauty and play with all its amazing creatures and take me wondrously back to being the mermaid I used to be, swimming freely in the vast ocean. Yeah, it feels good to be home. It always has.
It is where I could calmly drench myself in its haven, wherein the relaxing and warm touch of seawater has let me swim naturally, without having tons of worries that the fishes might rudely judge me.
This is my paradise.
See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me!
And yes, I could stay forever in this paradise. If only I could. A place in the world that I would never dare to trade with anywhere else as I have felt so overwhelmingly blessed that God put me on this side of the earth. As cliched as it may sound, but, there's no place like home.
This is my shoulder to lean on.
Whenever life's burdens are becoming way too heavy to handle, this place is where I always find myself coming home. It is where my family, the biggest love of my life, my family, is waiting for me. They may not always know the right piece of advice to say, but definitely, they always have a loving heart to listen and that is all that matters to me, to vanish all the miseries and make everything amazingly ok. With them, I am constantly reminded that even though there is no perfect life, at least there are perfect moments.
This is home.❤
Indeed a piece of paradise in my heart and I will brag about its astonishing beauty to the world over and over again.
