If you've read my last few posts, you already know that my wife and I dropped by the Surf Rodeo in Ventura, California, last weekend, trying to get some entertainment without the cover charge, and ended up disappointed. We left the music festival portion of the event at the Ventura Pier, and walked down to Surfers Point and Seaside Park to check out the surf competition...the "rodeo", so to speak. Here are some images from that walk posted for #WednesdayWalk, the tag created by @tattoodjay to encourage us all to get out and take a stroll and share our experience with the Steemit community. Ready? Let's follow this guy:
I like trying these long exposure panning shots but it can be difficult on this walk because the people in motion are sometimes too close, making it hard to get them in the shot and making it intimidating to be pointing a camera at a stranger who might not appreciate that. Whooooah! Look out for that skater!
These people aren't even walking. They're checking out the view of the beach. As my friend @armentor noted, we've had one of the gloomiest Spring/Summers on record, with May Gray, becoming June Gloom, and now Hazy July Sky. This picture was snapped well after noon and it's still gray out.
These people aren't walking, but at least they're moving.
Well, we're there. Time to turn around and head back. Thanks for coming along!
