Monday Minimalism ~ A MonoMad Post

My wife and I went to the Surf Rodeo this weekend, with different agendas. In previous years, the surf contest/music festival has been held at Pierpont Beach, and we skip the festival and listen to music at bars and restaurants along Pierpont Street instead. This year, it was held at the Ventura Pier, which has a single restaurant without live music. So, we wandered down towards the surf contest, me with my 18-55mm lens that I planned to take street photos with, and her with her 55-300mm lens to photograph the surfers. She got some great surf shots, while I settled for minimalist images of sailboats. So, there you are. I'm posting this image for the daily #MonoMad photo contest created by @brumest and curated by @monochromes.
