This is the third stage in insects that have metamorphosis before they go to the fourth stage, namely the adult stage to become a butterfly. Because the first stage is the embryo and the second stage is the larva and this as you can see now is the Cocoon.
I found its settling quietly in the grass. Very quiet and not moving at all. I managed to capture six images that I sent as my entry for the daily #monomad challenge.
