Hello! This is my first post here. I live in Kyiv, Ukraine, there is a war going on. As a volunteer, I cook food for the poor twice a week for about 40 people. But I will write the recipe for the amount that I cook for the family. I need:
1/2 kg potatoes
2 tablespoons wheat flour
1/4 onion
1 egg
salt
vegetable oil for frying

Peel the potatoes and grate them directly into a large flat bowl. Leave in the bowl without stirring, carefully tilt the bowl and set aside for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, pour out the accumulated juice, gently holding the potatoes, but without stirring them. Finally, press your hand into the bowl and pour out all the juice. Add flour, finely grated onion, egg and two pinches of salt.
Heat up the pan, add oil. Mix the potato mixture. Put a portion of the dough (1 full spoon) on hot oil and. Fry over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown , turn over and repeat frying.
Set aside on a plate lined with paper towels. Sprinkle with sea salt from the grinder. Potato pancakes are best eaten straight out of the pan when they are crispy.
