So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “GOOD NEWS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “VOTING YOUR CHOICE”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on voting and the importance of voting for the right candidate. But then, with many still choosing to vote based on established biases and influences, it calls into question whether people should be told who to vote for.
But then, this only ends up kickstarting something that we may never be able to see the end of because then the definition of the ideal candidate would no longer be left to the people, but to the individuals who decide what an ideal candidate is. Such a move would never end well. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w223e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. For this author, she told us that if one person gets to decide who everyone should vote for, then no one is actually doing anything with their sound mind. This would show that the influencers in society would be the most powerful because they have the power to decide who gets to be king and who doesn’t. That’s not a power someone should wield.
