So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week, which is “VOTING YOUR CHOICE”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “FORGIVENESS”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on forgiveness and how hard it can be to give it, even when it can be beneficial to us. However we look at it, it will always be in our best interests to forgive rather than to hold on to the pain and hurt that was done to us.

We got to see that many people found it hard to forgive because it could feel like the people who hurt them were getting off easy. But then, forgiveness has never been about absolving them of their acts against you, but rather for you to be able to move past it all and continue with your life. This was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w222e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.

Featured Contents

IN HIS INFINITE MERCY, ONLY GOD FORGIVES by michupa@michupa

For this author, he told us that holding on to pain has never done anyone any good. As a matter of fact, he gets really forgetful of grudges and hurts, making it easier for him to move past the hurt that comes with them. He also has some things that he will never forgive, because they will hurt on a whole different level.

TO FORGIVE IS DIVINE by kilvnrex@kilvnrex

*For this author, he told us that forgiveness is something that he had to learn, because life in itself isn’t fair, and we all have to figure out a way to live with each other without descending into chaos. In the end, when we let go of grudges and forgive, we are only doing ourselves a favor because doing the opposite would be choosing a life of pain.”

NOT EVERYONE DESERVES UNLIMIITED CHANCES by bhattg@bhattg

This author told us that forgiveness is not for everybody. There are certain people who will do certain things and as a result, won’t be worthy of being forgiven. It all depends on us as individuals to decide for ourselves if we choose to forgive them or not. That’s the most important part!

All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (melinda010100@melinda010100) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.

But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:

Honorable Mention

FORGIVING FORMYSELF: CHOOSING PEACE, EVEN WHEN IT’S DIFFICULT by van.illa@van.illa

THE TREASURE I FOUND IN FORGIVENESS by nkemakonam89@nkemakonam89

CAN’T FORGIVE EVERYONE by intishar@intishar

These are posts that were also found to be quite exceptional.

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!

Week 223 - Edition 01 Topic

VOTING YOUR CHOICE

“During elections, people are encouraged to vote for the right candidate and vote their conscience. But then, the right candidate is never really stated explicitly, so the assumption is that everyone knows who the right candidate is. But then, won't it be better to simply tell people who to vote for? Especially when the wrong choice is obvious for even the blind to see? What effect will such a move have on democracy and elections?”

  • Submission Deadline:- 23rd June; 11:59 P.M UTC
