So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “A WHITE LIE”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “IN FOR THE MONEY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on hospitals and clinics that prioritize money over the lives and well-being of their patients. From the high cost of health care to the rigid rules in place when a person is unable to pay up.
We got to see that while this is all a business, many times, what separates a sick person from the land of the dead is the amount of money that they have to spend on healthcare. And for those who don’t have enough to meet the standard of the hospital, their lives may hang in the balance. This was an enlightening topic, indeed.

CAN PEOPLE AFFORD HEALTHCARE? by 
For this author, he told us that in some countries, the government has helped to subsidize the cost of healthcare for the citizens. Taking care of one’s health can be financially draining, and so he suggested that instead of waiting for our health to deteriorate to the point where it becomes a money pit, we can take care of our health with regular exercise and better control of our diets. This will help a lot.
IS HEALTHCARE A RIGHT OR A LUXURY? by 
*For this author, she told us that healthcare is a fundamental part of human life, and it’s not limited to our hospital visits, but also how we take care of our health outside the hospital as well. Nothing that’s done in a hospital is done for free because the staff of the hospital also need to get paid, and the place needs to be maintained as well. So much goes on in a hospital.”

This author told us that there are a lot of shortcomings in the health industry. While some hospitals are state-funded, others are private and strictly for profit. And at this point, there is nothing much that can be done, because most public hospitals are not equipped enough to handle the load, and most private hospitals are too expensive for the common man.
