So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “FORGIVENESS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “SEX CRIMES”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on sex crimes and the aftermath for the perpetrators, even after they have served their time. Should such people be allowed to see their own children even after they’ve paid for their crimes, seeing just how sensitive this could be, especially when their victims were also children.
We got to see that many times, the safety of the child is of utmost priority and as a result, such people are supposed to stay away from all children, including their’s. This is a necessary precaution to ensure that they don’t slide back into their old ways and, in so doing, harm another child. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w222e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. For this author, he told us that if he had the power, he would make sure that predators never got to see freedom ever again. And then, as long as there are people who believe they can get away with hurting others, there will always be those who are willing to go ahead with it. The protection of our women and children is a top priority.
CHILD SAFETY ABOVE ALL: WHILE PARENTAL ACCESS SHOULD BE RESTRICTED AFTER CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CONVICTIONS by 
*For this author, she told us that being the biological parent of a child doesn’t automatically mean that the child is safe from a sexual attack by that parent, which is why, when there is a history of sexual abuse, the case must be handled with extreme caution. And in the end, the best choice might just be to keep children as far away from them as possible.”
WHEN CHILDOOD INNOCENCE IS STOEN by 
This author told us that one of the most heartbreaking truths about this thing is that not every sexual crime is reported, and not every victim is heard. However, he also feels that restricting perpetuators from their children would be something that will be decided by their families. He sees this as the best approach.
