December morning. Unexpectedly warmer than the previous one. Light breeze. Raging Sun reflected in my red-brown hair. The passage through the park is much more pleasant. The charging and the invigorating beginning of the day. Walking slowly, not hurrying anywhere (even for work) I enjoy the sun. How little he needs a man to smile. Even people on the road look somewhat happier. I go on listening to a conversation between two women walking their dogs in the park. One happily shows the other picture of his son and obviously his girlfriend. Suddenly other thoughts crawl into my still sleeping mind ... Whether I will ever be in her place (as a mother). If in fact, if I have children, I will be a good mother and I will provide them with everything they need.
Fortunately or not, these thoughts and questions quickly passed through my mind. And I went back to December again. A month that everyone is looking forward to (or at least I am so). December is an expectation. Faith. Hope. Countless dreams and desires. People are deprived of countless things: breaks, exits, clothes, shoes just to save for December. To be able to rejoice their child, who will wait for his gift under the tree or his beloved man. Whatever happens to us, December somehow makes us better, happier, more alive. It makes us believe in the Christmas wonder or in that our wishes on the New Year's Eve will come true next year.
December is coziness and warmth. Time spent with the family. Many smiles, cheerful evenings and full stomachs. What's better than that. December smells of the peel of oranges, tea with honey and cinnamon. Hot dinners with your loved one. A cup of warm chocolate, an aromatic candle, and a nice book in hand. Christmas songs. Decorating in the streets. Glowing lights. First snow.
December is the last page of the calendar, the last hope that something nice will happen. 334 days have passed, but we still have 31, through which we can do something good. Let's help somebody. To adopt an abandoned dog/kitten. To participate in charity. Let's call someone we forgot. Let's try to be more positive. Apologize if we have made a mistake and injured someone.
December brings us back to childhood. December is a nostalgia for carefree childhood days. The impatient days before Christmas. Writing a letter to Santa Claus, leaving it under the tree with a glass of milk and a cookie.
December is the warmest month for me. Not because of the low temperatures but because of all those moments that make us think, warm our hearts and create memories. December comes quickly and goes away imperceptibly. That familiar feeling: "When did this year go."
.............
December do not go so fast. Stay a little more this year. I wait for you every year with such an impatience.
Much love - Krisii
