Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. This weekend is just another quiet week at home where my wife and I stay in. We are dedicating our time to taking care of our autistic son. We still cannot go anywhere or do any activities today. But I wanted to share some stories and photos from a little family getaway we took last week in this post. Whenever granddaughter has a day off school while my autistic son is in class for children with special needs, my wife and I take her out to explore the world and gain new experiences. We sometimes take her out for various activities, such as playing a small amusement park at Lotus's, going to local markets and shops, trying new foods, or visiting temples. Last week, our granddaughter didn't go to school, but that gave us the opportunity to visit the temples. We are a Buddhist family, so my wife and I would like to take our granddaughter to make merit and pay respect to the Buddha statues at the temples in our district. This time, we visited a total of three temples. The sky was overcast that day, but luckily it didn't rain, so the weather was cool and pleasant.
The first temple we visited to make merit is located in San Sai Subdistrict. This temple is called Wat Si Bun Rueang. We walked around and paid our respects to the Buddha images there, though we didn't focus on taking photos.
The second temple we visited was Wat Sri Mongkol. This temple is also located in San Sai Subdistrict. We have visited this temple many times before. So, we went to this temple to make merit and pay respects to the Buddha images in the buddha image hall (viharn) and around the pagoda. But we didn't walk around this temple. Although we didn't walk all the way around, we spent a long time making merit and paying respect to the Buddha images at this temple.
For the final temple, we visited a temple in Wiang Subdistrict. This temple is located in the downtown area. This temple is named Wat Phra Bat Udom. The temple grounds are the monument of the historical city lord who ruled this region hundreds of years ago with his wife. We came here to walk around their monument area to make merit and pay our respects.
This area features a small playground as well, where we spent a considerable amount of time playing our granddaughter. So she had a fun time.
This trip was another one where we spent time together having fun and being happy. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
