Rebellion is giving me a lot of fun ideas. I really like the extra abilities that the summoner gives as it brings new strategies and combos that I only found on higher levels.
Some of the Rebellion units, though, are a bit underwhelming like Anachron Bolter. This is good on its own since if everything is strong, then no one will pay attention to the previous cards.
I really like the balance the Rebellion gives as it gives new light to new strategies while making previous strategies stronger.

| Since Rebellion was just released, it's a bit on the expensive side at $0.82 per copy for a level 1. |
| The rental price for Anachron Bolter is 0.48 DEC per day for a level 1 and 65.71 DEC per day for a level 4. A level 4 is good enough for Silver and gives you an extra range damage. |
| Anachron Bolter has 1 range, 1 magic, 3 speed, 1 armor, and 6 health at level 1 which is not really that strong for an 8 mana unit. It increases though through leveling up. His range damage increases by 1 at level 3 and the max health gets to 9 at max level making him a good defense at the back against Sneaks. |
Headwinds |
Headwinds is a great ability to reduce the opponent's attacks. It is especially useful when you have a Taunt unit to take in the damage as making it survive is your priority.
Repair |
This ability is a good support especially to the new Armored Strike ability as it can give the unit an extra 2 damage.
| Anachron Bolter's strength lies on his dual damage means he can attack twice in one round, one for range and one for magic. Although it isn't as strong, it still is also hard to be locked up. Having two different attacks allow this unit to be used in a limited rule set such as Going the Distance or Wands Out giving you more flexibility. |
| Since it has two attacks, it also is as twice as easier to be targetted by rule sets that doesn't allow his attack. You cannot use him in both Broken Arrows and Lost Magic because of this. |
Going the Distance |
This unit is best to be used in Going the Distance rule set due to his Headwinds. Headwinds reduces the opponent's range damage so using him in a rule set that only allows range units is a must.
Aimless |
Scattershot changes all range and magic attacks to random. This good since Scattershot bypass any Taunt the opponent might have. It also allows you to damage any
Armored Up |
Due to Anachron Bolter's Repair ability, Armored Up is a good rule set for him as it gives extra armor to be repaired to units without any armor originally.
Unprotected |
Since there would be no armor in any units, there would be no armor to be repaired as well.
Equalizer |
Equalizer is bad for Anachron Bolter due to her low damage. In Equalizer, damage is the most important and unfortunately, Anachron Bolster doesn't have that.
What Doesn't Kill You |
Enrage increases the unit's melee damage and speed when damaged. Not only Anachron Bolter doesn't have melee damage, his low magic damage also passes through armor making the opponents Enraged even if they have armor.

I have Venari Markrat positioned beside Anachron Bolter. Martyr increases Anachron Bolter's range and magic damage when Venari Marksrat dies.
With the Aimless rule set, I plan Anachron Bolter to abuse the Scattershot to attack the opponent's low health units in the back with his improved damage with Martyr.
I think Anachron Bolter has a lot of potentials due to his dual damage. He has a lot of compatibility with other rule sets and can be extremely useful when you are battling in high mana.
