Managing finances isn't fun, nor is it something exciting to read about. I will make this as quick and painless as possible.

Here are tips that have helped me in my 20s.

  1. MAKE A VISION BOARD.

Save for the things on your vision board, not impulse buys. If I like something, I leave it in my cart or wishlist for at least 24hrs. I usually end up deciding I don't need it. Bam! Money saved!

  1. CHIP AWAY AT DEBT.

I still have college debt, and I'm finally getting rid of it. I resented that piece of paper for quite some time. However, I'm now close to paying off one of my two loans that I have left. I pay a little more than I have to each month. If you can, at least round up a bit, and you should see the debt diminish faster.

  1. SET UP SIDE HUSTLES

There are so many side hustles you can do from home. There are plenty of apps you can use to make money, as well as websites. You can check out some of these here.

  1. START THINKING ABOUT SAVING

It's never too early to save for retirement or a rainy day, but there will come a point in time when it will be too late.

  1. LEARN TO DO THINGS YOURSELF

Paying for haircuts and manicures? Buy yourself a pair of hair scissors and a gel polish kit. There are countless YouTube videos out there that teach you how to do these things.
