Fire Splinters and melee strategies go hand in hand like butter and bread. The compatibility between the two is so immense that it's undenial to not tell so.

Tarsa, a habitant of Chaos Legion, is one of the strongest summoner in the Fire Splinters as she doesn't only boost the team's health but also the damage. This makes her a deadly summoner if not properly countered.

In Taking Sides rule of combat, you are forced to focus on one element instead of combining them with Neutral monsters making the focus on each Splinter's strength much more. Check in this article what how scary Fire Splinter can be when left unchecked.

I think Tarsa is in a good price point at max level. In my opinion, a max level Rare summoner in today's standard should be around $10, a max level Epic summoner should be around $15 and a max level summoner should be around $20. Tarsa being $9.74 is on that price range so I think she's decently priced.

You can rent a max level Tarsa for 3.25 DEC per day. This is a good price point to keep her on your back pocket at all times or even just a backup summoner. The problem is that the good monsters for Fire Splinters can also accumulate quite a bit of rent so be warned.

Forgotten One's price is kinda fair at $6.07. He's actually strong and one of the best monsters for specific rules of combat like Noxious Fumes so that price point is good in my opinion.

The rental price is a bit inexpensive even at max level. This is good so you can always use him at his full potential provided that you have the appropriate summoner levels to accommodate Forgotten One. The cheapest rental for max level Forgotten One is 4.13 DEC per day.

Tarsa is a Rare summoner from the Chaos Legion Series.

Level 8 Rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 4 Legendary monsters;
Level 6 Epic monsters;
Level 8 Rare monsters;
Level 10 Common monsters.

Tarsa has good abilities and very compatible with Fire Splinter.

πŸ’Š Abilities πŸ’Š

+1 melee. [Stat Modifier] Positive Status] All friendly monsters has their Melee Damage increased by 1.

Tarsa's increased melee damage is really good for Fire Splinter since they have the best monsters with melee damage in the game.

+1 Health. [Stat Modifier] Positive Status] All friendly monsters has their Max Health increased by 1.

An extra Max Health has no drawbacks. It makes your monsters harder to kill and may be the cause of a win which was supposedly a lose.

Forgotten One has high stats. He has high damage, health and armor. The only downside is his speed which may be a cause of a number of misses on his attacks unless you have other abilities to support his low speed.

πŸ’Š Abilities πŸ’Š

Immunity Full.png

At level 1, Immunity is unlocked. [Defense] This monster are unaffected by any [Negative Status].

Immunity is an underrated ability for carries. This makes this monster immune to all negative status effects including but not limited to Poisons, stats changes like Demoralize and status affecting them like Affliction. As Splinterlands develop and more abilities are announced, this ability just makes them more and more overpowered.

Retaliate Full.png

At level 3, Retaliate is unlocked. [Defense] [Damage] This monster has a 50% chance of attacking any opponent's melee monster that attack this monster.

Due to Forgotten One's high damage, Retaliate is actually pretty strong as it takes this monster's current damage for the Retaliate's damage. This means that if you have three Inspire abilities increasing this monster's damage to 9, then your Retaliate damage also becomes 9.

Piercing Full.png

At level 5, Piercing is unlocked. [Attack Modifer] Any excess Melee and Range damage on the opponent's armor are passed through their health.

Due to Forgotten One's high damage, Piercing is very strong as well. Normally, you can counter a high melee damage by using armor as it counts its own life. But with Piercing, any excess damage goes to the monster's health so no damage is wasted. This ability also complements Retaliate ability making your Retaliate attacks also have Piercing effects.

Splinters
Summoners and Monsters other than from these Splinters cannot be used during this battle.

Taking Sides Full.png

Taking Sides Rules of Combat Tips: This rule of combat may affect your strategy and lineup to an extent but it is not as bad as other limiting rules of combat. Make sure you've rented a number of cards that you can use on that specific Splinter you are using.

Broken Arrows Full.png

Broken Arrows Rules of Combat Tips: Use these type of rule of combat to your advantage. Since you know that your opponent would only be able to use melee or magic damage, you have 50% chance of targetting them by using anti magic damage or anti melee damage abilities.

Super Sneak Full.png

Super Sneak Rules of Combat Tips: Although there are monsters with Range damage or Magic Damage that can use Sneak ability, Super Sneak rule of combat only grants Sneak ability to melee monsters. Any monsters that uses range or magic damage will still attack as normal and won't change their targetting priority.

Tarsa: Tarsa is a fit in this team since I made sure that I built it around melee monsters. Except for Immolation, everyone in this lineup benefits from increased melee damage and increased max health.

  1. Tusk The Wide: Not only he can be used to answer magic damage with his Void ability, he also has Inspire ability increasing the other's melee damage.
  2. Forgotten One: I played him second because I was expecting to need a secondary tank. Due to Super Sneak rule of combat, he gains Sneak ability allowing him to attack while on the 2nd position. This way, he can also be a backup tank if the opponent focused on melee monsters which is the weakness of Tusk The Wide.
  3. Ferox Defender: I felt the need for some additional defense and without any form of healing on this Splinter, I chose the second best thing, which is Protect ability giving my team extra armor. Since this monster has Sneak ability from the rule of combat, this can attack while on the back.
  4. Torch Vizier: A really strong low level monster that you can use for Fire Splinter. Torch Vizier gains an extra melee damage at level 2 and with Opportunity ability, she can attack in any position.
  5. Tenyii Striker: One of the mains in Fire Splinter. His high damage combined with high speed makes him a very skilled Sneak monster due to how low his attacks would miss.
  6. immolation: He may not be a melee monster but he works well with other melee monsters due to his Inspire ability. He also works well at the back due to his Shield ability where most Sneak monsters would attack.

Yes. The high damage actually helped a lot an I may have lost if this is not the build I went to. Tusk The Wide helped a lot curb a huge magic damage from my opponents while my other monsters slowly chip through my opponent's lineup from the back.

None. I was thinking of replacing Ferox Defender for Arkemis the Bear but remembered that I cannot due to Taking Sides rule of combat. This is a really efficient and strong lineup for Modern Format as well.

Yes. They complement each other so much that I am thinking of maining Forgotten One. It's quite sad that he doesn't have any target modifying abilities like Sneak and Opportunity abilities as you can technically only use him during special cases like Super Sneak rules of combat.
