The tips and possible advises in this article are designed for Silver League, in which I am in right now.
Chaos Dragon has 4 magic damage and 4 speed making it a strong offensive monster. It has decent armor and health but you want him to survive long, so he’s best paired with a tanky front line. This card shines in battles where he can just unleash his blast magic damage each time.
The Scattershot ability is what makes Chaos Dragon special. It allows it to hit random targets which works great with its high magic damage and Blast ability. These stats make it an amazing choice in many battles.
Fog of War |
Removes the Snipe, Sneak and Opportuniy abilities for this battle.: Scattershot still works in Fog of War Rules of Combat giving Chaos Dragon a big advantage.
Earthquake |
All non-Flying monsters on the board takes 2 melee damage at the start of every round: Chaos Dragon’s Flying ability makes it immune to Earthquake damage keeping it safe while others take damage.
Wands Out |
During this battle, only monsters with magic damage type are allowed: Chaos Dragon’s Scattershot ability bypasses Void tanks, making it perfect for Wands Out Rules of Combat. |
Counterspell |
All monsters on the board gains the Magic Reflect ability that inflicts half the damage to any monsters with magic damage attacking this monster: Magic Reflect is a big problem for Chaos Dragon since its Blast ability also deals magic damage. This can backfire and hurt your Chaos Dragon a lot in one round. |
|
Aimless |
All monsters on the board gains the Scattershot ability that changes the targetting mechanics of monsters with Range and Magic damage to "Random opponent.": Chaos Dragon already has Scattershot, so it doesn’t benefit from Aimless Rules of Combat. This makes the rule less impactful for your team. |
|
Weak Magic |
Monsters on the board can use their armor to block an opponent's magic damage. This has the same effect as Void Armor: Scattershot still works in Fog of War Rules of Combat giving Chaos Dragon a big advantage. |
Djinn Oshannus |
The Void ability of Djinn Oshannus is a good combo with Chaos Dragon during Wands Out rule of combat since all he needs is a durable tank and Chaos Dragon will carry the game.
Baakjira |
Baakjira is just an example but any monster with either Slow or Swiftness abilities are good help with Chaos Dragon. Speed makes him attack earlier and his high damage can kill most of the monsters if they are low leveled.
Raa |
Raa is another high damage monster with Scattershot ability. He's a good monster to complement Chaos Dragon in doing that random team damage that can bypass Taunt monsters. |
This game is pretty simple. I have Chaos Dragon to slay the whole opponent's team while Cursed Windeku and Venari Bonesmith tries to delay the fight.
Since the opponent used full melee team, my Blind and Thorns ability is at its utmost value. I also have level advantage than my opponent making my team stronger than tem despite having less number. Basically, my team counters their team and is the reason for the easy win.
Chaos Dragon is one of the most exciting monsters in Splinterlands. Its unique abilities and high damage make it a favorite among players.
The card has both strengths and weaknesses, depending on the battle rules. It works best in high mana battles and specific Rules of Combat.
When paired with the right team, Chaos Dragon can dominate the battlefield. Players should consider its mana cost and compatibility when building their lineup.
