Good morning, Steemit! Friday’s are becoming busy days. @guthrie has appointments in the morning and a scheduled visit during the afternoon. It’s a lot of running around, so I try and cram writing and blogging in between the breaks. Apparently, tonight,
@vermillionfox will be hosting Mansions of Madness at
@caffetto in uptown. It’s her favorite game and it’s been a while since we’ve met with friends to play. At some point, I want to see It 2 this weekend, and Sunday,
@ghostfish and I are finishing work with our
@coppercoins campaign videos.
I have new photography to share. I typically arrive at Viva Las Vegas a few days early. Sometimes I take bookings before the real madness begins; sometimes I’m brought on as a guest photographer for an event like “Ladies First”. A Las Vegas local named Tatiana contacted me on Instagram interested in booking a shoot. I’d been following Tatiana for a year or so and was looking forward to shooting with her. We’d decided that The Artisan Hotel would be the perfect place to shoot, so I booked a room there for that evening, and she met me in the lobby around sunset.
Tatiana had never done a professional shoot, which surprisingly, is relatively common for my clientele. I enjoy working with new models as I feel one of my strengths is directing. Tatiana was a bit nervous, but took excellent direction and the hotel has endless corners and spaces for interesting photos. I loved having Tatiana’s long, slender frame to work with in the low light of The Artisan Hotel. We found some mirrors, which are always fun. We wrapped in just about 90 minutes then talked about music, punk and Las Vegas.
I have one last set of images to finish with Tatiana, so if you liked this post, you can look forward to the last three in the comics weeks. I’m going to my favorite lunch spot shortly, and then spending the afternoon doing batch color processing edits for La Femme En Noir, and “hopefully” writing. I have a few stories I’m eager to get down in text. I’ve had more alone time than usual, and that’s the only time I can write. Thanks for reading! For more photography, follow me here @kommienezuspadt
