“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
People like to argue as to what exactly this means. Some people will focus on the “well regulated” part. Others on the “shall not be infringed”. They’re both cherry picking, but what if I told you that it doesn’t mean shit. Rights are subjective, meaning what is and isn’t a right is different to different people. Some people will say healthcare is a right while gun ownership is not and vice versa. Me personally, I think healthcare is a right. I’m not so sure about gun ownership. Let me explain why.
Not everyone is allowed to drive a car, right? Not everyone is allowed to fly a plane. So, why should everyone be allowed to own a gun? Guns are literally designed to kill people, whether it be for self-defense or just plain murder. You’re free to disagree with me, but don’t make the “muh constitution” argument. The constitution can change. They’re called amendments for a reason. They can be, say it with me, amended.
