I learned that there are many kinds of food that you can cook using a microwave. One of these very tasty treats is gem squash. The key to doing this is poking a view holes so that the steam can escape.
I have done this many times before with brilliant results but there are times that you will get distracted.
I started by poking a few holes as what I normally do and placed it into the microwave for about 7 min. 7 Minutes is how long it normally took before I checked if it is done or if should go longer. You will see how the steam exits the holes.
My phone rang and I got into a conversation with my dad completely forgetting to check the microwave to make sure the gem squash didn’t roll over covering the holes.
BOOM!
My dad: “Son? What was that?”
Me: ”Uhmm”
Me: “I got to go, a gem squash just exploded in the microwave”
My dad: “What!?”
I was in quite shock at that moment, it sounded like a mini bomb go off. It was not fun having to clean that mess up.
