Hola hola comunidad 💕, los últimos días los he pasado enferma, el martes en la tarde me empecé a sentir mal e inmediatamente me comenzó una fiebre que me duró hasta ayer, además tengo mucha tos y ahora pocas cosas me provocan para comer, aún así para intentar despejarme un poco de mi malestar anoche empecé un nuevo libro y eso me animó a hacer un nuevo marcapaginas ¿Por qué?, pues porque nunca son suficientes 🤣, aparte éste quería que fuese un poquito diferente a los demás que he hecho, así que aprovechando que me voy sintiendo mejor, aquí les muestro cómo lo hice.

Hello hello community 💕, I've been ill for the last few days. On Tuesday afternoon, I started to feel unwell and immediately came down with a fever that lasted until yesterday. I also have a bad cough and now very little makes me want to eat. Even so, to try and take my mind off my discomfort a little, last night I started a new book and that inspired me to make a new bookmark. Why? Because you can never have enough 🤣. Besides, I wanted this one to be a little different from the others I've made, so now that I'm feeling better, here's how I did it.

Arranqué haciendo un rectángulo de 16 cm de largo por 6 de ancho, pero éste rectángulo es sencillamente una guía para ver más o menos qué tan grande quería mi marcalibros. Encima de éste rectángulo hice el dibujo que en éste caso se trata de una pila de libros y encima de ésta hay un gato, de verdad me encantó en cuanto lo ví 💖.

I started by making a rectangle 16 cm long by 6 cm wide, but this rectangle is simply a guide to give me a rough idea of how big I wanted my bookmark to be. On top of this rectangle, I drew a picture, which in this case is a pile of books with a cat on top. I really loved it as soon as I saw it 💖.

Con el boceto listo me pasé a mi parte favorita que es pintar, no estaba muy segura de cómo quería que fuese la figura del gato, pero decidí pintarla como una gata cálico y el resultado me encantó. En los libros quería que abundara el color, por eso cada uno tiene un color distinto o una combinación de colores diferente, sobre todo lo que más quería era un marcalibros que me representara.

With the sketch ready, I moved on to my favourite part, which is painting. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted the cat to look, but I decided to paint it as a calico cat and I loved the result. I wanted the books to be full of colour, so each one has a different colour or combination of colours. Above all, I wanted a bookmark that represented me.

Al terminar de pintar, remarque todo el dibujo con mi lapicero de tinta y le hice con lápiz un pequeño borde por todo el alrededor dejando en la parte de arriba una pestañita, y recorte por ésta línea luego repliqué ésta forma en otra cartulina para pegarla por la parte de atrás de la que tiene el dibujo.

When I finished painting, I traced the entire drawing with my ink pen and drew a small border around it with a pencil, leaving a small tab at the top. I cut along this line and then replicated this shape on another piece of card to stick it to the back of the one with the drawing.

Pegué ambas cartulinas y con un perforador hice un orificio en la pestañita de la parte superior, por allí pasé un trocito de cordón para que éste sobresalga de los libros.

I stuck both pieces of card together and used a hole punch to make a hole in the tab at the top. I threaded a piece of string through the hole so that it would stick out from the books.
