En esta ocasión, les comparto el paso a paso para elaborar un lindo marcapáginas. Esta vez pensé en un diseño de oso. Hace mucho hice uno de Winnie Pooh, pero esta vez tocaba un osito marrón con algunas abejas y nubes que lo acompañaran. Como ven, es un diseño bastante simple, pero delicado, personalizado y cute.

This time, I decided on a bear design. I made a Winnie the Pooh one a while ago, but this time I wanted a little brown bear with some bees and clouds. As you can see, it's a fairly simple design, but delicate, personalized, and cute.

Lo primero que debemos hacer es dibujar en una hoja blanca el diseño que queremos para nuestro marcapáginas. Como les comenté al inicio, en mi caso quería una idea de oso; no sé por qué siempre que se me viene una idea de marcapáginas es relacionada con osos, miel y colores cálidos. Esta vez quise hacerlo con un oso, abejas y unas cuantas nubes. Así que, al tener la idea clara, lista y dibujada en una hoja blanca, pasé a los colores correspondientes de foami, como explico a continuación:
✨Cabeza con orejas: 3.8 cm x 3.5 cm en foami marrón.
✨Cuerpo entero: 6 cm x 3 cm en foami marrón.
✨Hocico: 1.6 cm x 1.3 cm en foami crema.
✨Abejas: 2 cm x 1 cm, 1.8 cm x 1 cm y 1.2 cm x 0.6 cm en foami amarillo.
✨Alas: 1.2 cm x 1 cm y 0.7 cm x 0.5 cm en foami escarchado blanco.
✨Nubes: 5.5 cm x 4 cm y 2 cm x 1.5 cm en foami escarchado blanco.
The first thing we need to do is draw the design we want for our bookmark on a white sheet of paper. As I mentioned at the beginning, I wanted a bear design; I don't know why, but whenever I get a bookmark idea, it's always related to bears, honey, and warm colors. This time I wanted to make one with a bear, bees, and a few clouds. So, once I had the idea clear, ready, and drawn on a white sheet of paper, I moved on to the corresponding colors of foam, as I explain below:
✨Head with ears: 3.8 cm x 3.5 cm in brown foam.
✨Full body: 6 cm x 3 cm in brown foam.
✨Snout: 1.6 cm x 1.3 cm in cream foam.
✨Bees: 2 cm x 1 cm, 1.8 cm x 1 cm, and 1.2 cm x 0.6 cm in yellow foam.
✨Wings: 1.2 cm x 1 cm and 0.7 cm x 0.5 cm in white glitter foam. ✨Clouds: 5.5 cm x 4 cm and 2 cm x 1.5 cm in white glitter foam.
Y como siempre, al tener listas las piezas, llega el momento más divertido, que es darle color a los bordes con pinturas y marcadores, utilizando colores que combinen o hagan algún contraste; normalmente recomiendo un color más oscuro que el color del foami. En mi caso, para el oso utilicé un marcador de color negro para todo el cuerpo, mientras que para las abejas utilicé un color marrón bastante claro y para las nubes, aunque no suelo darle color al foami escarchado, remarqué muy bien el borde con marcador azul.
And as always, once the pieces are ready, the most fun part arrives: coloring the edges with paints and markers, using colors that either complement each other or create a contrast. I usually recommend a color darker than the foam. In my case, I used a black marker for the bear's entire body, while for the bees I used a fairly light brown, and for the clouds, although I don't usually color glitter foam, I outlined the edges very well with a blue marker.
Al estar secas las piezas, es momento de dibujar detalles más específicos para darles vida. Así que, para eso, le dibujé ojos, nariz, boca, cejas, cabello, pelaje; definí las patas delanteras de las traseras y con otro color definí la parte interna de las orejas y las mejillas con rubor. Por otra parte, dibujé las líneas en el cuerpo de las abejas y, para la nube más grande, simplemente escribí en el medio “SMILE”.
Once the pieces are dry, it's time to draw more specific details to bring them to life. So, I drew eyes, a nose, a mouth, eyebrows, hair, and fur; I defined the front and back legs, and with another color, I defined the inside of the ears and added blush to the cheeks. On the other hand, I drew the lines on the bees' bodies, and for the larger cloud, I simply wrote "SMILE" in the middle.
Seguidamente, tomamos la cartulina metalizada verde y recortamos una pieza de 13 cm x 6.8 cm, le recorté las puntas redondeadas, con la perforadora le hice un agujero en uno de los laterales y coloqué una cinta delgada de 24 cm, la cual pegué doblada a la mitad.
Next, I took the green metallic cardstock and cut out a piece measuring 13 cm x 6.8 cm. I rounded off the corners, punched a hole along one side, and attached a 24 cm length of thin ribbon, folded in half and glued it down.
Ya para finalizar y con la base lista, vamos a pegar las piezas hasta formar al oso y a las abejas. Ya estamos listos para pegar en el orden correspondiente cada una de las decoraciones en la base del marcapáginas: en este caso, pegué la nube al lado izquierdo, al lado pegué al oso, a la derecha la nube más pequeña y las abejas las pegué distribuidas en el resto del espacio vacío.
Finally, with the base ready, we glued the pieces together to form the bear and the bees. Now we're ready to glue each of the decorations onto the bookmark base in the correct order: in this case, I glued the cloud on the left side, the bear next to it, the smaller cloud on the right, and the bees scattered throughout the remaining empty space.
