Drawing done in sepia colored ink, done by me. Inspired by a hike a World's End in Pennsylvania, USA.
The film I shot during this hike was unfortunately ruined however it was still one of the most stunning experiences. I am looking forward to redoing this hike this upcoming spring on the road to Cherry Springs, PA (dark sky park anyone?!)
This particular day was in late February and it was cold and snowy. Not an ideal day to do a steep uphill climb with a load of 4x5 camera gear but I was there and I was going to at least attempt the hike. For those of you who don't know, Pennsylvania mountains in the winter are stunning - trees stretch for miles, in snowy years the land is blanketed in white, and oftentimes you have the mountain trails to yourself. This hike was just that. It was also incredibly icy and for a novice winter hiker a little intimidating. I look forward to hiking it in more favorable conditions and can't wait to share the photographs with the Steemit community! Keep on adventuring!
