Mehn, I planned to find love this year, but as it is already, I'm postponing it till next year, even though I still have a month left in this year.
"Why are you giving up? Don’t you think you can still make it before the year runs out?"
Yeah, I understand this question, but there are just a lot of things to consider in this aspect, and one of them is… Hold on, just read ahead.
The year has been a turbulent one in seeking genuine love. The world is growing worse every day; discouraging things are happening here and there, and social media is the selling point for such acts. These days, I’m wondering how people are coping with all sorts of evil acts in relationships and marriages — don’t they love to protect their mental health?
In the middle of this year, around August, a friend of mine who thought he had met his missing rib found out that his girlfriend was having an affair with a very muscular guy. Emphasis on the muscular guy please, because when the matter was dug into, that was found to be the reason the lady went for the muscular guy who works as a “bouncer” (more like security) in one of the clubs in town. It wasn’t just a casual affair — they were having deep intimacy, and my friend, anytime he thinks of how rough the muscular guy would have handled his girlfriend, would almost run mad. Lol.
In this spoiled world, how are people finding love? Are people turning blind eyes and deaf ears to the wrong acts of their partners?
I almost got into love this year, but hey, my mental health is paramount to me. Once I notice any shaky, unserious, or untrustworthy moves by the potential lover, I walk out smoothly. I love my life!
Now back to the question of why I can’t utilise the remaining days of this year to look for love.
In my part of the world, experiments, surveys, and research show that it’s not advisable to look for love at the end of the year, especially for a guy, because the guy will definitely see — but it’s going to come with a lot of fake.
What do I mean?
Oh yeah, ladies will pretend to be calm and available just because they want to be spent on during this coming festive period. After the festive period, watch as they unveil another colour.
